(1999) were both certified platinum. “Lady Marmalade,” a version of LaBelle’s 1974 classic, topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2001 with Lil’ Kim and the likes of M.I.A., Pink, and Christina Aguilera. “The Jump Off” and “Magic Stick” are two more notable singles from this era, the latter of which became Kim’s second-highest-charting lead artist hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

For a long, there were rumors going about in the US that Lil Kim had undergone plastic surgery due to the fact that she has changed so much over the years.
Kim’s nose appears to have shrunk for the first time in 2003 or 2004. This was to mend a broken nose from an abusive partner, according to Lil’ Kim.

At some point between 2010 and 2012, her skin appeared to lighten in tone. And by 2013, her cheekbones and eyes appeared to have been retouched.
When she appeared in 2015, her complexion was lighter, her cheekbones were higher, and her chin was more sculpted.

Dr. Jennifer Levine, a plastic surgeon, indicated in a 2016 interview that it was obvious that Lil’ Kim had undergone some skin bleaching. According to the surgeon, Kim may have utilized substances that include large dosages of acids to lighten her skin, along with high-acid lotions. There is no doubt in Levine’s mind that Kim’s eyes have been worked on. She noted that the rapper’s eyes appeared to be extended and distinct.
Levine explained that in order to get this new eye shape, Kim would have needed to have surgery to remove fat, skin, and tissue. Her interview stated that she had gotten a little too self-conscious at the moment and decided to change her appearance. She went on to say that she was a stickler for detail.
