Professional Football Career
After graduating from college, Frost was taken by the New York Jets in the third round (67th overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft as a safety. In his rookie season, Frost saw action in 13 games, mostly on special teams, and recorded six tackles and two pass breakups.
Frost participated in 14 games that year and recorded seven tackles. Playing in all 16 games in 2000, Frost made his first career start against the Buffalo Bills on October 29. After that, in 2006, he worked as a graduate assistant at Kansas State. He began working at Northern Iowa in 2007 as the linebackers coach and by 2008 had been promoted to co-defensive coordinator. His defence was third in the FCS in interceptions with 40 in 2008 and eighth in scoring defence (17.7 points per game).
