John Stamos is a native Angeleno who made his name as an actor, singer, and musician. Though he is most recognized for his role as Jesse Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom Full House (1987–1995), he has also been on General Hospital (1982–1984), ER (2005–2009), Glee (2010–2011), and Scream Queens (2012–present) (2010-2011). John Stamos was born on August 19, 1963, in Cypress, California, to the name John Phillip Stamos. Loretta (a model) and William (a restaurateur) were his parents, and Loretta’s two daughters, Janeen and Alaina, were his younger siblings. William’s family name, Stamatopoulos, originates from Greece.
John spent his teenage years working at fast food establishments in Orange County, including Duke’s and Yellow Basket, both of which belonged to his father. When Stamos was a student at John F. Stamos received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination (Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role in a Daytime Drama Series) and two Soapy Awards for his performance as Blackie Parrish on the soap opera “General Hospital” from 1982 to 1984.

John and Rebecca Romijn met during Victoria’s Secret fashion show three years before Christmas Eve 1997, when John proposed to Rebecca. They tied the knot on September 19, 1998, in Beverly Hills, and later split up in March 2005. Stamos and the actress/model Caitlin McHugh got engaged in October 2017 and tied the knot on February 3, 2018.
John and Caitlin first crossed paths in 2011 when they both appeared as guests on “Law & Order: SVU,” but they didn’t start dating until 2015 when McHugh went to the taping of an episode of “Fuller House” in which her roommate had a role. John proposed to Caitlin at Disneyland, which is her favorite spot, and on April 10th, 2018, they welcomed a boy named William.
