Year in and year out, the Recording Academy of the United States recognizes musical excellence by presenting the Grammy Awards. The Grammys have been given out annually since 1958 and are generally considered the most prestigious award in the music industry.
Of the 18 prizes for which Carlile was nominated, he has taken home six. Personal Life
Carlile came out as a lesbian in an interview in November 2002. After the fact, she told the Los Angeles Times, “there were others before her who established the route,” so “she doesn’t have to have a lot of formality about it.”
No one expected her to become engaged so soon after meeting her future wife, Catherine Shepherd, in 2009. They tied the knot on September 15, 2012, in the town of Wareham, Massachusetts.
Evangeline (born in 2014) and Elijah (born in 2016) are their daughters (born in 2016). (born 2015). …a 2018 baby. Since 2012, Shepherd has served as the head of Carlile’s charity, the Looking Out Foundation. He had been the charity coordinator for Paul McCartney’s foundation for eleven years prior to his departure.
