Wonder Woman 3 Isn’t Happening Because Gunn and Safran Are Planning the Future of The Dcu!
Wonder Woman 3 by Patty Jenkins is no longer in production at Warner Bros.
The heads of DC Universe, James Gunn, and Peter Safran, have determined that the movie did not fit their current vision, as reported by THR. Jenkins recently submitted her script, which she co-wrote with DC mainstay Geoff Johns. It is claimed that the writers informed Jenkins that they would not be moving forward with the project in its current form. Jenkins previously co-wrote and directed the critically panned Wonder Woman 1984 in addition to directing Wonder Woman.

The information was revealed following reports that The Flash’s release date had been moved up by a week, Black Adam 2 and a prospective Hawkman stand-alone film were in development at Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions (although THR disputes this and claims a sequel is “unlikely”).

Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the following entry in the DC Universe, will debut on May 17, 2023. The Flash, Blue Beetle, Aquaman, and the Lost Kingdom will all come for it. The Flash stars the troubled Ezra Miller. After that, nothing is definite as Gunn and Safran settle on their 10-year plan for the DC Universe.
