The brand-new photos are courtesy of Empire Magazine’s most recent article of the movie, which also gives a sneak peek at the plot of Indiana Jones 5, in which the renowned archaeology professor will once more battle a bunch of Nazis. The photos feature both Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones and Mads Mikkelson as the evil Voller, a character modeled after the actual Nazi Wernher von Braun, a post-World War II NASA engineer.

Harrison Ford will once more serve as the film’s protagonist and return to one of his most recognizable roles as the title character, Indiana Jones. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, an Emmy and Golden Globe winner, co-stars with him as the female lead. Other franchise newcomers Antonio Banderas, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renee Wilson, who has been cast in unknown roles, will also be introduced in the final installment.

James Mangold, an Oscar candidate for his work on Logan, is directing the eagerly anticipated movie from a fresh script that he is co-writing with Ford v. Ferrari writers, Jez and John-Henry Butterworth. Steven Spielberg left his directing duties for the movie last year, and James Mangold took over. Despite leaving, he will continue to work as a producer on the movie.

The film’s producers are Steven Spielberg, the creator of the Indiana Jones franchise, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel. John Williams will once again compose the score, carrying on a musical journey that began with Raiders of the Lost Ark 40 years ago.
The movie is scheduled to open in theatres on June 30, 2023.
