A Man Called Otto Trailer: Life Is a Journey that Should Be Taken Together!

Sony Pictures has released a brand new A Man Called Otto trailer for its English remake of the Swedish comedy-drama starring Oscar winner Tom Hanks. The film is scheduled to arrive in select theatres on December 25, 2022, followed by its wide release on January 13, 2023.

A middle-aged man who is still reeling from the loss of his wife is shown in the film. His outlook on life is altered when he meets his new neighbours, who help him see that life is a shared journey.

Based on the Swedish novel by Fredrik Backman, A Man Called Ottois was directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by Oscar contender David Magee. Mariana Treviso (Overboard), Rachel Keller (Legion), and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo co-star with Hanks in the lead role (6 Underground).

The summary describes Otto (Hanks), a cranky, reclusive widower with tight rituals, strong convictions, and a quick fuse, who treats everyone in his neighbourhood badly while keeping a close eye on it. His new neighbours strike up an odd and reluctant friendship just as it seems like he has given up on life altogether. Otto changes subtly throughout time, but is he actually capable of alteration?

A Person Named Otto is produced by Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Gary Goetzman, and Fredrik Wikstrom Nicastro for SF Studios under the Playtone banner. Magee, Forster, and Ren e Wolfe are the project’s executive producers, and SF Studios is funding it.

Hannes Holm was the director of the original Swedish picture, which starred Rolf Lassg rd (Downsizing). It received positive reviews and received two nominations for Oscars, including one for best foreign language film.
