The John Wick Prequel/sequel Ballerina Has a Set Release Date of 2024!
Four full-length movies are currently part of the John Wick film franchise. The franchise will soon be expanding to include its first authorized spin-off, Ballerina, whose release date was just announced for 2024. Fans of the action-packed franchise will be thrilled to hear this good news.
Although Keanu Reeves has played the title character in the first four movies, he will reprise the role in the next spin-off, Ballerina, which will feature Ana de Armas. With roles in blockbusters like Blade Runner 2049, Knives Out, and Netflix’s fictionalized Marilyn Monroe biography Blonde, she has already established herself as a significant figure in Hollywood. As previously reported by Deadline, she will play the titular young assassin on June 7, 2024.
As Hinted at In the Official Synopsis of The Movie:
The protagonist of Ballerina is a teenage female assassin who seeks retribution from those who murdered her family.
The cast of Ballerina also features Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, and a cameo from the late actor Lance Reddick in addition to Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves’ roles. Norman Reedus, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Gabriel Byrne also make an appearance. Len Wiseman is in charge of directing the upcoming spin-off, and Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 3) is responsible for writing the script. Producers Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and John Wick director Chad Stahelski are all involved.

The John Wick movie series appears to be just getting started at this point. Hopefully, further information about this spin-off will be available soon. For the time being, however, it appears as though everything is coming together very nicely for the premiere of Ballerina in the summer of 2024.
