Ryan Coogler to Direct ‘X-Files’ Remake with A Diverse Cast!
Viewers are constantly anticipating new episodes of The X-Files. especially in light of the show’s recent conclusion with two more seasons that were added as part of a resurrection five years ago. Yet, it appears that a new X-Files series with a diverse cast may be getting a remake.
The X-Files creator Chris Carter teased the new incarnation on On the Coast With Gloria Macarenko, where the news was announced. He has specifically discussed creating this new version of the cherished sci-fi horror franchise with Ryan Coogler.
What Carter had to say about the project and his interactions with Coogler is as follows:
I just spoke to a young man named Ryan Coogler who plans to recast The X-Files with a cast that reflects society today. Because we covered so much ground, he had his work cut out for him.
This unexpected announcement is definitely a shocker. A new addition to the franchise was the 2020 announcement of the animated comedy series The X-Files: Albuquerque. Of course, it’s unclear if the animated series is still in production considering the passage of time. Yet the announcement of a new installment from Ryan Coogler, who is best known for directing Black Panther, comes as a great surprise to fans of the series. As a result, we’ll have to wait for future upgrades to be issued.
In addition to directing the original Creed movie and its sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Coogler is well-known for his work on Black Panther and these films. He has built a reputation for himself in Hollywood, and he would be the ideal option to introduce The X-Files to a whole new audience.
