Netflix Wants to Remake ‘Squid Games’ With David Fincher!
The South Korean television show Squid Game was a huge success for Netflix. However, it has recently been reported that Netflix plans to stream an English-language version of Squid Game.
This rumor originates from Jeff Sneider’s show, The Hot Mic. In addition, he asserts that Netflix not only wants to adapt Squid Game but also has a particular producer in mind.
They specifically mention how much Netflix wants David Fincher to take on this project.
Some of the biggest successes in David Fincher’s filmography include Gone Girl, The Social Network, and Zodiac. Naturally, he has experience working with Netflix.
He has already contributed to some of their biggest shows. This includes Love, Death & Robots, Mindhunter, and House of Cards.
He also directed the Netflix-distributed, Oscar-nominated movie Mank.
It makes it obvious that Netflix would want David Fincher to work on Squid Game in light of this. On the other hand, the fact that a remake exists can confuse fans. especially considering how well-liked the original series is with subscribers already.
In reality, there are a number of spin-off projects in development in addition to a second season of the show. Live-action reality television is included in this.
Of course, given how well Squid Game has performed for the streaming service, it is no surprise that they would want to maximize its growth. With Stranger Things, we’ve already witnessed this.
There are currently two spin-off shows in development, even if that particular series is shortly to come to an end.
