Jennifer Lopez Has Received Backlash for Launching an Alcoholic Beverage Brand!
As a result of releasing her newest product, Jennifer Lopez is facing criticism and outrage. Particularly because it is alleged that this contentious product is somewhat inconsistent with Jennifer Lopez’s non-drinking lifestyle.
Indeed, Lopez’s new invention is a brand-new alcoholic beverage. The Italian shore serves as the inspiration for the Delola brand. The 53-year-old star announced the information in an Instagram post outlining her decision to start such a company.
The title of the video states what she had to say:
It’s no longer a secret! I’m excited to present my newest line of distinctive, mixology-level, ready-to-drink spritzes to you, @DELOLA. The JLo is #OnTheMore. Together, let’s embrace the #DelolaLife.
Regarding the video itself, she is heard saying what follows:
Since I’ve been working nonstop for years, Lopez says, “I’ve come to appreciate the value of having fun.” Delola is the result of my desire to make a drink that tastes better, has better ingredients, and is something I would enjoy drinking with my loved ones.
As was previously established, Lopez is a well-known opponent of alcohol. So it comes as a surprise that she decided to start a brand of alcoholic beverages. She received harsh criticism from many admirers in the video’s comments section. Here’s one comment to illustrate how off-brand this choice feels, for instance:
Given that you have spoken out against the harmful effects of alcohol and that you don’t drink yourself, why not start a NA brand? Sincerely interested as to why you are selling booze, this feels so out of character for you.
Another statement reveals that Jennifer Lopez‘s husband Ben Affleck is in recovery after struggling with alcohol:
I thought you’ve publicly discussed not drinking due to how horrible it is for you and the fact that your partner is in recovery, the commenter stated. When I initially read the post, I was hoping it was for a classy NA drink, but this feels like such a bizarre move for money.
