While speaking with The New York Times, Florence Pugh really gave an explanation of her decisions for the Met Gala. What she said in her most recent interview with them is as follows:

She said it doesn’t matter if people don’t particularly like it because the key is that you are expressing yourself through what you are wearing.

She continued, “I don’t think whatever I do needs to be completely loved. Being debatable is a good thing. People’s interest is indicated by this.
