When will Season 6 of Cobra Kai premiere on Netflix? Throughout season 5 of the show, Daniel, Johnny, and the kids were all dealing with the fallout of Cobra Kai winning the All-Valley. The stakes were higher than ever as the wave of destruction that follows Cobra Kai karate proceeded, with Cobra Kai delivering on its promise of global dominance.
The conclusion of Season 5 teased that the gang from Miyagi Do/Eagle Fang/Miyagi Fang (?) still had plenty of questions to answer and adventures to go on, but what exactly is the next chapter in this epic karate territorial war? Cobra Kai Season 6 Release Date Speculation
Unfortunately, Netflix has not confirmed that Cobra Kai will return for a sixth season just yet.
Happily, showrunner Jon Hurwitz already has plans for a sixth season in the works. Over on Twitter, he told a fan, “Season 6 has not yet been written. After we finish shooting Obliterated, we’ll get to work on that, although we have tonnes of great ideas currently simmering!
Even if a Season 6 is commissioned, the interval between seasons is likely to be longer than in the past. This is because the last two seasons were produced at a far faster rate than usual, with Cobra Kai even filming two seasons back-to-back.
Season 6 of Cobra Kai is likely to premiere by the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024 at the earliest.
Cobra Kai Season 6 Plot Speculation
Cobra Kai season 6 has not been officially ordered yet, so we don’t know what the story will be like, but season 5 gives us a lot to work with.
While the fifth season concluded with Cobra Kai throwing their gis at Silver and abandoning their shady dojo, the Miyagi Do/Eagle Fang/Miyagi Fang appears to be going strong as they compete in the Sekai Taikai international karate championships.
There’s little doubt that Johnny (William Zabka) and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) got closer as friends when their dojos weren’t in competition with one another, but could the pressure of the Sekai Taikai bring back their rivalry? Meanwhile, John Kresse (Martin Kove), the second Cobra Kai founder, has escaped prison by pretending to be dead in red jello while Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) is locked up.
Even if Silver is vanquished, Kreese will surely return to the Valley with vengeance in mind after being tricked by Daniel and Johnny into disclosing information about Silver.
Tory’s decision to become his mole at tremendous personal risk also strained his connection with her. Even though Tory (Peyton List) and Samantha (Mary Mouser) have called a truce, it’s unclear how long it will continue. Likewise, other Cobra Kai kids like Kenny (Dallas Dupree Young) may have a long road ahead of them to undo the anger drilled into them like their senseis.
While the kids are preoccupied with the Sekai Taikai, Johnny will continue to get ready for the arrival of his child with Carmen (Vanessa Rubio), who will be the half-brother of Miguel (Xolo Mariduea) and Robbie (Tanner Buchanan). We may also get to see what happened after Chozen (Yuji Don Okumoto) drunk-dialed Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) to confess his love for
Season 6 would appear considerably different without the Cobra Kai dojo, but that doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be plenty of drama.
Cobra Kai Season 6 Cast Speculation
Most, if not all, of the series’ main characters, are likely to return if the sixth season of Cobra Kai is ordered. While Terry Silver was taken to jail at the end of Season 5, we don’t expect him to spend too much time there. However, much like with Kreese, it’s possible that we’ll get a glimpse inside Terry’s prison life.
Season 5 of Cobra Kai featured Silver’s recruitment of a large number of new senseis; however, given that his students had all abandoned him and he was, you know, in jail, it seems unlikely that we would see any of them again in season 6. Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim), on the other hand, appeared just as adamant as Silver to protect the legacy of Cobra Kai and promote her grandfather’s brand of karate.
Cobra Kai being what it is, though, anything is still possible. Predictions for Season 6 include the following, based on the assumption that the series’ core cast will return along with a few surprise guest stars:

Cobra Kai Season 5: Synopsis
Jacob Bertrand, who plays Hawk, has spoken out about Season 5 to Entertainment Weekly, saying that the Valley would see more confrontations and “unlikely team-ups” (maybe Kreese will make up with Johnny) than in previous years. According to the teaser.
Evidently, Chozen, Johnny, and Daniel have banded together, and now everyone from Miguel and Robby to Anthony LaRusso (Griffin Santopietro) and Daniel’s son is bowing down to the three lords. Maybe there’s still time for that to happen. Showrunner Josh Heald has hinted at some upcoming drama.
We can expect things to get seriously complicated for father and son duo Johnny and Robby as they try to track down Miguel, who has travelled to Mexico in search of his biological father, given that “there are quite a few storylines that start spinning very fast and very aggressively as we enter next season.”
Despite the teaser’s implication, it appears unlikely that Robby and Miguel would soon work out their differences. In one scenario, Johnny attempts to mediate between the two, but the conversation quickly escalates into an argument. His pleading, “[I] want you guys to get along,” encapsulates his goal.
