When Does Warzone 2 Come Out? Can We Expect the Release Date in November 2022?
The successor to Raven Software’s hugely popular battle royale is apparently in the works. Here’s the latest on a probable Call of Duty Warzone 2 release date
Call of Duty: Warzone has spent a lot of time in the spotlight as a top competitive first-person shooter. In spite of its many problems since its release in 2020, Raven Software’s game has continued to attract gamers since it features some of the best gunplay of any shooter on the market.
While most of the best battle royales have chopped and replaced maps, weapons, and key gameplay mechanics throughout the years, Warzone has traditionally been more conservative in its approach.
But now there are rumors and indications that Raven Software isn’t only planning a significant shake-up for the game over the next couple of years; the studio is preparing an all-new Warzone sequel.
While specifics are scant right now, we’ve collected together everything there is to know about Warzone’s probable successor, including a general timetable for the Call of Duty Warzone 2 release date, as well as any Warzone 2 leaks that have surfaced.
Call of Duty Warzone 2 Release Date
When is Warzone 2 coming? The Time Has Come: The Final Battle Reports have indicated that November 16, 2022, is when Warzone 2 will be made available to the public. According to a leaked Activision memo, this is the case.
In other words, gamers have around three weeks to master Modern Warfare 2 before Warzone 2 takes over their lives.
Warzone 2: Expected Platforms
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is rumored to be releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, with a possible Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release to follow. In contrast to our speculation in the article about Call of Duty potentially becoming an Xbox exclusive, Warzone 2 will not be an Xbox exclusive. Since Call of Duty has never been available for a Nintendo console, Switch players shouldn’t be too startled either.
Warzone 2: Maps
The enormous Battle Royale map from the original Warzone will return in Warzone 2, along with a smaller one that promises more action. Famous MW2 maps, according to leaks, will reportedly be included as points of interest on the main map. These maps include:
Warzone 2: BR Map
Of course, Warzone 2 will come with a fresh new Battle Royale map. Thanks to certain leakers, we already have an idea of what this map might look like. After receiving a sketch of a map from leaker Tom Henderson, complete with points of interest, we now have a first colored depiction of what the final map might look like:
So it will be a peninsula again, which is great for a Battle Royale. We can’t wait for the release to see if the map has been updated in any way…
Warzone 2: “Rebirth” Map
Given that some players like smaller maps, like Rebirth Island or Fortune’s Keep, I expect there to be more such maps in the future. However, this additional map won’t be made available until after Warzone 2 has been released.
