When Does Knives Out 2 Come Out: Is Knives Out Sequal Coming to Netflix in November 2022?
When can we expect Knives Out 2? In 2019, director Rian Johnson wove a complex web from which we have not yet emerged. True, Benoit Blanc from “The Last of the Gentlemen Sleuths” may have solved the murder of Harlan Thrombey in the first detective film, but he still has a ways to go.
Yes, a follow-up to Knives Out, the suspense flick that made the entire world wonder, “Where did Chris Evans acquire that very lovely jumper?
Since the picture made $311.4 million on a budget of under $40 million and received more award nominations than a hyperactive butterfly collector on the new net day, it’s no surprise that a sequel was approved.
But it’s been a while since the first Knives Out came out, and like a detective trying to solve a crime, you undoubtedly have a few questions you’d like answered. Have no fear, though; nobody’s going to be subjected to an interrogation. Everything that needed to be done, we did. This article will cover the release date of Knives Out 2, as well as any other information currently available.
Knives Out 2 Release Date Speculation

The sequel to Knives Out will premiere on Netflix on December 23, 2022. An announcement for a sequel to Rian Johnson’s great drama picture was made in January of 2020, just a few months after the first film’s release.
Lionsgate was supposed to distribute Benoit Blanc’s second film, however, that did not happen. According to reports, Netflix outbid Lionsgate for the picture, paying a total of $469 million for the privilege of producing two sequels to the original film.
Production on Knives Out 2 began in June of 2020 on the Greek island of Spetses and ended in September.
Knives out 2 Plot Speculation

This is a puzzle! Is a joke too easy to see? Sorry. In any case, we can’t say for sure. For understandable reasons, Johnson and the rest of the actors have been quite protective of the film’s secrets.
Since Knives Out 2 isn’t a sequel, we know that we won’t be seeing Marta or the obnoxious Thrombey family again. Benoit will instead star in a brand-new picture that stands on its own.
According to Johnson’s comments to The Hollywood Reporter, viewers should “consider of it simply like another Hercule Poirot novel from Agatha Christie, so a whole new place, entirely new characters.” Here’s hoping it’s a step up from Death on the Nile.
The name of the mysterious film is also known to us. Johnson announced the title of the continuation of Knives Out to be “Glass Onion: A Knives Out tale” on June 13 of the next year, 2022.
Rian claimed in a tweet that he aimed to make his Benoit Blanc films similar to Agatha Christie’s novels. Each picture will have its own identity, with a distinct tone, scope, and raison d’être.
The filming location suggests that this mystery will leave the tranquil East Coast of the United States for somewhere far more far-flung and exotic. The darker sides of humanity remain unchanged no matter where you go, therefore it’s likely (but not confirmed) that Benoit will be investigating yet another heinous crime.
Dave Bautista, one of the film’s actors, couldn’t resist giving fans a tantalizing tease by saying the sequel would be “even better” than the original.
Bautista told People, “I really think it’s going to be as fantastic, if not better than the first one.” I’m constantly worried that someone will take offense if I suggest we’re going to improve, but I truly believe that this is the case. I just find there to be more variety and depth in the characters. I have a feeling that folks are going to really enjoy this.
They Knives out 2 Cast
Though the rest of Daniel Craig’s Knives Out 2 cast has yet to be revealed, we do know that he will be reprising his role as Benoit Blanc.
Cast as fresh suspects are actors Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Jessica Henwick, Janelle Monáe, Ethan Hawke, and Madelyn Cline, however, their roles have not been revealed.
In addition to Christopher Plummer as Harlan Thrombey and Jamie Lee Curtis as Ransom Drysdale’s mother Linda, the original Knives Out also featured Chris Evans as the rambunctious Ransom Drysdale.
Newcomers Ana de Armas (who played Harlan’s nurse Marta Cabrera), Katherine Langford (who played Meg Thrombey), and Jaeden Martell (who played Jacob Thrombey) also starred in the film.
Besides Craig, none of the other original cast members have been confirmed. Indeed, Jamie Lee Curtis recently posted to Instagram to insinuate the Drysdale family will not be making a comeback, saying they were in counseling and their “therapist suggested they keep away from Benoit Blanc in the future”.
As the family’s representative, she continued, “we wish the filmmakers all the best in their new endeavor.”
