When Does Disenchanted Come Out: Is Disenchanted Out Sequal Coming to Disney’s in November 2022?
A first peek at the sequel, which will premiere on Disney+ in time for Thanksgiving 2022, was published in May 2022. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that there won’t be any unforeseen setbacks to that.
Over a decade has passed since confirmation of the sequel, and there are still no signs of the original actors or a release date. 2011. You already know that was an exaggeration, but at least we can rest certain that the movie is on its way.
It will premiere in December 2020 as a Disney+ original film, but what can we anticipate from our return to this enchanted realm?

Disenchanted Release Date: When Will Enchanted 2 Be Released?
Disenchanted will premiere on Disney+ on Thanksgiving, which for those of you outside the United States is on November 24, 2022.
Along with the news of the film’s upcoming release, the first look at Amy Adams in her return role as Giselle and Maya Rudolph in the role of the wicked Malvina Monroe was revealed.
Preliminary filming for the sequel took conducted in Ireland throughout the months of May and July of 2021, with additional filming occurring in the spring of 2022. The release date has been set for November, and we can only hope that everything stays on schedule until then.
Disenchanted Cast: Who’s Coming Back for Enchanted 2?
The return of Amy Adams as Giselle in the sequel is unsurprising but welcome news.
Amy Adams stated in 2016 that she was “not going to let anyone else play Giselle,” and in 2018 she stated that she is still “totally up for that” if a sequel is made.
She won’t be the only original cast member to make a comeback, though; Patrick Dempsey (Robert), James Marsden (Prince Edward), and Idina Menzel (Nancy) will all be there as well.

New cast members include Maya Rudolph as Giselle’s new antagonist Malvina, Kolton Stewart as Malvina’s son, Yvette Nicole Brown as Rosalyn, Jayma Mays as Ruby, and Oscar Nunez as Edgar. Gabriella Baldacchino will play Robert’s now-adult daughter Morgan.
Rudolph’s antagonist is a mystery, but in May of 2021, she discussed the job, revealing that she had some reservations about accepting it.
When asked if she wanted to play the villain, she said, “Geez, I don’t know” if the conversation had taken place 15 years earlier. But I’ve learned through the years that playing The Most is the coolest thing you get to do.
Director Adam Shankman (Hairspray) is at the helm, and the songwriting team of Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz (Enchanted) is back with fresh material for the film.
Disenchanted Plot: What’s Enchanted 2 About?
It wasn’t until May 2021 that we learned the official summary for Giselle’s homecoming.
Fifteen years after the events of the previous film, Giselle relocates to the suburb of Monroeville with Robert and Morgan, where she must learn to balance the demands of a new house with the meaning of happily ever after for her and her family.
After getting married to Robert at the end of Enchanted, Giselle is said to begin questioning her happily-ever-after existence in the sequel, setting in motion a chain of events that turns everyone’s lives upside down both in the real world and in Andalasia.
