‘Velma,’ Dark Origin Series for The Scooby Gang Will Premiere on HBO Max in January 2023!
A date for Velma’s release has been set! The graphic adult animation series based on the Scooby-Doo folklore will premiere on HBO Max on January 12, 2023.
The latest series tells Velma Dinkley’s mature origin tale. Velma is the brains behind the Mystery Inc. Gang. In order to solve the murder when a body is discovered in her high school, Velma teams up with Daphne, Shaggy, and Fred. Mindy Kaling will play the role of Velma; Constance Wu, Sam Richardson, and Glenn Howerton will play the roles of Daphne, Shaggy, and Fred, respectively.

Fans were given a sneak preview of Velma at New York Comic Con earlier this year with a clip that matched other adult animated shows on HBO Max like Harley Quinn in terms of gore, vulgarity, and butts.
This show is allegedly an alternative rendition of the well-known animated children’s program. In this HBO Max series, Velma is of South Asian ancestry in addition to having explicit material. While the rest of the Mystery Inc. Gang will be seen, the much-loved Scooby-Doo will sadly not be making an appearance.
