The Son Trailer: Sony’s Drama Starring Hugh Jackman Is a Fight He Doesn’t Want to Give Up!

Hugh Jackman and Laura Dern are featured in Florian Zeller’s new family drama The Son, which has now received its official teaser from Sony Pictures Classics. On November 11, the movie is scheduled to premiere in a few theatres.

In the son trailer, Jackman can be seen attempting to get in touch with his teenage son and learn what has been happening to him. It emphasizes Jackman’s struggle to strike a balance between his various responsibilities as he strives to be a better father.

Florian Zeller directed The Sonis based on a script he and Oscar winner Christopher Hampton co-wrote. Like his other stage productions, the original play premiered in London in 2019 and received raving reviews. Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Hopkins, and Zen McGrath are featured in the upcoming movie.

The summary of the movie describes Peter as having a busy life with his new partner Beth and their infant when his ex-wife Kate and their teenage son Nicholas show up. “The young man has been skipping school for months and is troubled, aloof, and furious. Peter aspires to be a better father, working to support his son in those special and natural times of family joy. However, Nicholas’ illness puts the family on a dangerous road.

Iain Canning and Emile Sherman of See-Saw will produce the adaptation alongside Christophe Spadone, who collaborated with Zeller on The Father last year. Joanna Laurie and Christophe Spadone are the producers.

The Father, Zeller’s first feature-length film, was based on his critically acclaimed play from 2012, Le P re, and stars Oscar winners, Olivia Colman and Anthony Hopkins. Prior to this, the movie had received six nominations and had won two Oscars, including Best Actor for Hopkins and Best Adapted Screenplay for Zeller and Hampton.
