The Marvel Merchandise Gives Us Our First Look at The New Costumes!

Not too much is known about The Marvels, the upcoming sequel to Captain Marvel. However, a new batch of promo art does give fans its first look at some of the costumes that the three starring superheroes will use.

While Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel outfit was visible throughout her Disney+ series and Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel outfit was visible in a Ms. Marvel post-credits scene, it was unclear what Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau would be wearing in the movie.

The first glimpse of her outfit can be found in new movie merchandising, which features the three superheroes posing on pillows in their new outfits. Below, you can see how Parris’s costume has changed.

Parris Monica Rambeau will be dressed up for the first time, as fans can see, in a costume that closely resembles the appearance of her comic book character. Her outfit is black and white, with a Captain Marvel-inspired insignia positioned squarely in the middle. Little has been mentioned or shown about Rambeau’s character since she acquired superpowers in WandaVision, so it will be intriguing to see how she functions in the future movie.

Marvels Merch Reveals

Brie Larson, the Oscar winner, will reprise her role as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in The Marvels. Fans last saw Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the post-credits scene of “Ms. Marvel.” Iman Vellani, who had her own Disney+ series earlier this year as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, and WandaVision breakout actress Teyonah Parris, who plays Monica Rambeau, are joining Larson in the sequel.

Nia DaCosta (Candyman), working from a script by Megan McDonnell, is helming the follow-up. Additional cast members include well-known South Korean actor Park Seo-Joon in an unspecified role as well as English actress Zawe Ashton (Velvet Buzzsaw) who plays the antagonist in the sequel.

The year Captain Marvel made its debut, it went on to gross over $1.1 billion globally, making it the fifth-highest-grossing movie of that year. Ben Mendelsohn and Samuel L. Jackson, who will each appear in their own Disney+ series Secret Invasion, were also featured in it.

Phase Four of the MCU will begin on July 28, 2023, with the release of The Marvels.
