According to the synopsis, when self-described homebody Mack Martin, 30, grudgingly goes on her best friend Carla’s bachelorette trip to Palm Springs, her inner 70-year-old is literally let loose. The irate author and influencer miraculously change into Aunt Rita, her future self.

Rita blossoms once she is liberated from the restrictions of other people’s expectations. She becomes an unlikely social media phenomenon and starts a cautious romance with Jack, Mack’s cute dog walker. The wonderful comedy Mack & Rita emphasizes staying true to oneself at any age.
