The Beekeeper: Josh Hutcherson Participate in an Action Film Starring Jason Statham
Deadline reports that Miramax has welcomed the addition of four new cast members who will be joining Jason Statham in his upcoming action thriller film, The Beekeeper, as filming gets underway in the UK. Josh Hutcherson, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi (Under the Shadow), and Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons are among those who have appeared in The Hunger Games. More information regarding their characters is still being withheld.
According to the synopsis, The Beekeeper is a fast-paced action thriller that “follows a man’s personal journey of retribution which takes on national implications as he is discovered to be a former officer of a powerful and clandestine organization known as the beekeepers.”
David Ayer is directing the movie from a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer. Along with Bill Block for Miramax and Chris Long for Cedar Park Studios, it will be produced by Statham and Wimmer.

The Expendables 4, Meg 2: The Trench, and Fast X are the upcoming action sequels in which Statham will next be seen. Ayer first gained notoriety for penning the crime dramas Training Day and The Fast and the Furious in 2001, both directed by Antoine Fuqua. Street Kings, End of Watch, Fury, Bright, and The Tax Collector are among the movies for which he served as director.
