New Netflix Trailer for Matilda the Musical Debuts in Teaser The Roald Dahl Movie
The first trailer for Netflix’s upcoming movie version of Matilda the Musical by Roald Dahl is out today, providing fans another peek at the anticipated, highly praised movie.
Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson, Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough, Sindhu Vee, Alisha Weir, and Lashana Lynch are among the cast members of Matilda the Musical, which is directed by Tony Award winner Matthew Warchus. The 1988 Roald Dahl children’s book of the same name and its 2010 musical adaptation both served as the basis for the show.

Danny DeVito, an actor, and director turned Matilda into a movie for the first time in 1996. Mara Wilson played the title character. The musical Matilda by Dennis Kelly has been performing well on Broadway from 2013 to 2017 and has been playing in London since 2011.
The musical is scheduled to debut in the United Kingdom on November 25, 2022, and then on December 5, 2022, it will be released in the United States and other worldwide markets. On Christmas Day, Netflix will then make the movie available on its streaming services.

The official synopsis for the movie describes Matilda Wormwood (Alisha Weir) as a young child with a lot of curiosity, a smart mind, and a vivid imagination, as well as the worst parents in the world (Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough).
“While they occupy themselves with trashy television and dubious business ventures, Matilda enjoys losing herself in the pages of her favorite novels. She is a silent watcher who comes up with clever and small-scale acts of disobedience and retaliation where they are loud, selfish, and rude.
