Netflix Schedule Additions: This Week’s Upcoming Shows & Films!
This week, a much-awaited sequel will be available on Netflix. The streaming service will start making Enola Holmes 2 available on Friday, November 4. Harry Bradbeer, an Emmy and BAFTA winner for his work on Fleabag, Killing Eve, and Ramy, returns to helm The Enola Holmes sequel from a screenplay by Tony and BAFTA winner Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, The Aeronauts).
The titular teen sleuth Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudora Holmes, and Susan Wokoma as Edith all make a comeback in the sequel. They are joined by Serrana Su-Ling Bliss, Gabriel Tierney (Endeavour), Adeel Akhtar (Sweet Tooth), Hannah Dodd (Fighting with My Family), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Dune), Abbie Hern (The Twilight Zone), and David Thewlis (Wonder Woman).
The summary for Enola Holmes‘ debut novel is, “Fresh off the triumph of solving her first case, Enola Holmes follows in the footsteps of her renowned brother, Sherlock, and opens her own agency only to find that life as a female detective-for-hire isn’t as easy as it appears.” “An impoverished matchstick girl gives Enola her first official job: to find her missing sister.
Resigned to face the icy realities of adulthood, she is about to shut down until she receives the offer. But as Enola is thrust into a terrifying new world, including London’s nasty factories and vibrant music halls, the highest strata of society, and 221B Baker Street itself, this case turns out to be far more perplexing than anticipated. Enola needs the assistance of her friends and perhaps Sherlock himself to solve her mystery as the beginnings of a deadly conspiracy begin to take shape. It appears that the game has recovered its footing.

Through their PCMA Productions label, Brown and Paige Brown are producing the follow-up alongside Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, and Ali Mendes of Legendary. Bradbeer, Thorne, Michael Dreyer, and Joshua Grode of Legendary are the executive producers. It is a joint production of Netflix and Legendary.
