‘Manifest’ Season 4 Part 2: Release Updates, Cast, Synopsis, Part 1 Spoilers!
This article is an addendum to the comprehensive season 4 preview of Manifest that we published and continued to update all through 2021 and 2022. Reading that post is worthwhile because we detailed the history of the show’s resurrection on Netflix in addition to the first half of the last season.
After its third season on NBC, Manifest was inevitably canceled. The show’s popularity skyrocketed in the summer of 2021 with the unexpected license to Netflix, and the show was renewed for a final season exclusively on Netflix.
The first four seasons are available to stream in most countries, with the noteworthy exception of the United Kingdom, where Netflix only has access to the fourth season.
When Is Manifest Season 4 Part 2 Coming Out?
The second half of season 4 of Manifest was announced by creator Jeff Rake for a spring 2023 release on Netflix in January 2023. Notwithstanding his failure to specify the month in which the further episodes would be made available, Manifest fans have had a theory since the announcement of the Part 1 release date.
With the first half of Season 1 having shown on November 4 (the day Flight 828 landed back in New York City), fans have speculated that the second half will premiere on either April 7 (the day Flight 828 departed) or June 2 (the Dead Date). Both Fridays are in the spring season, according to the calendar.
Will Matt Long (zeke) Be in Manifest Season 4 Part 2?
Part 1’s climactic scene showed how Ezekiel sacrificed himself using his pain-absorbing and empathy-enhancing abilities. Cal’s presence and his own abilities were crucial in saving the passengers and, as they now know, the globe. That being the case, Cal’s cancer was cured and Zeke appeared to have met the same destiny as Cal.
It’s not known if Matt Long will still feature as Zeke in the sequel, but he was reportedly present on set for parts of the filming. Long (and by extension Zeke) may not appear in every episode, but we can be assured that they will continue to do so, and that Michaela and Zeke’s tale will continue as well. When there’s determination, things get done. (As we discovered in Grace’s first lesson.)
The second half of Season 4 of Manifest is directed by Melissa Roxburgh.
Episode 7 of Season 4 Part 1 marked Josh Dallas’s directing debut, and in Season 4 Part 2, his on-screen sister Melissa Roxburgh will make her directorial bow. Two of the final batch of episodes were directed by the Michaela Stone actress. Watch for the episodes she directed, which are 17 and 18 (or 8 and 9 of part 2’s 10).
What Will Manifest Season 4 Part 2 Be About?
As we last left off, Angelina had just secured the power of the Omega Sapphire and crystallized her hand, setting the stage for a dramatic climax to the first half of the final season. As a result of Angelina’s abuse of power, volcanic fissures have spread throughout the city after the conflict between her and the Stones.
Manifest will go on to detail the final moments of Flight 828 and the Stone family’s efforts to salvage the Lifeboat. As we saw in the first episode, the Death Date isn’t just for the people on Flight 828; the fate of the entire planet depends on them figuring out the plane’s riddle. Now that he’s fully charged, Cal will play a crucial role in rescuing humanity.
What happened in Manifest season 4 part 1?
Angelina, as noted above, was determined to be the worst passenger ever by constantly acting angrily toward the other people on the plane. She did everything she could to further her own goals, from kidnapping Eden to trying to murder Ben. Since she stole the Omega Sapphire, a piece of it has been fused with her hand. Fighting for that again seems inevitable.
The Registry, a government organization established in Season 4 to monitor the whereabouts of Flight 828 passengers, made its debut. Drea works for the Registry to aid the Stones covertly, while Jared joined at the end of part 1 to provide the Lifeboat with a potential ally deep within the beast’s bowels. In the heartbreaking season finale, Zeke gave his life to protect Cal, who must remain healthy if humanity is to survive until after the Death Date.
Is There a Manifest Season 4 Part 2 Trailer Yet?
Netflix has not given Manifesters an early look at Part 2, but a teaser trailer for the sequel is anticipated to be released in tandem with the reveal of its premiere date. The news should come shortly, as the new episodes are scheduled to premiere in the spring.
In the clip below, you can watch the movie’s official first-part trailer.
Will There Be a Manifest Season 5?
Season 5 of Manifest will not air on Netflix or any other streaming provider. Don’t waste your time organizing a save-the-show movement; it’s over. As a result of Netflix’s intervention, the show was given a fourth and final season of 20 episodes.
Unlike Lucifer, which Netflix ultimately saved and whose fifth season was announced to be the final season… before ordering a sixth season, which was the final season, this one won’t get a miraculous save. The cast and crew of Manifest recently finished filming, and they were able to tell the whole tale of Flight 828.
