Joseph Quinn Joins Cast of A Quiet Place, Part 1 as the Male Lead!
According to Deadline, Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn is currently in negotiations for the leading role opposite Oscar winner Lupita Nyong o in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming prequel A Quiet Place: Day One.
In addition to Stranger Things, Quinn has also acted in Julius Avery’s action horror movie Overlord, which is another product with a horror theme. His character’s other specifics are still being kept a secret.
Based on a concept by John Krasinski, Michael Sarnoski of Pigfame will helm A Quiet Place: Day One. It will show the appearance of blind aliens who have fully taken control of the world as envisioned by John Krasinski in the 2018 original.
A dramatic scene from the sequel that depicted the pandemonium of the initial stages of the invasion completely changed the tone of the horror franchise. This idea will be developed further in the prequel, which will also broaden the main series’ focus beyond the Abbott family.
The A Quiet Place sequel, originally slated for release on September 22, 2023, has been delayed by over six months and will now hit theatres on March 8, 2024. The movie won’t have any direct competition when it opens in theatres on its new date, but it will launch in the same month as two well-known movies, Godzilla vs. Kong 2 and Spider: Beyond The Spider-Verse.
