An Exclusive Headless Horseman Trailer Previews the Latest Horror Movie from The Asylum

It is a fresh interpretation of the well-known gothic tale “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and is titled “Headless Horseman.” It features Michael Par, Sean Whalen, Nic Caruccio, and Amanda Jones in addition to being written and directed by Jose Prendes. On October 14, 2022, it will be available on VOD and in a few places (including Minneapolis, Miami, Atlanta, and Roswell, Georgia).

The summary describes the plot as follows: “Seconds from death, an almost decapitated and desperate man makes a deal with the Devil to safeguard the love of his life and seek revenge on the drug dealer who almost killed him.”

It was difficult for me to update the Sleepy Hollow story because I adore the original version so much. However, after I established the ideal aesthetic for the film (something between Michael Mann and a superhero movie), it was much simpler to tell the tale of the anti-hero on a Harley. “I owe so a lot to my incredible cast and crew, who went above and beyond to make this movie what it could have been. I also hope that audiences will like our 90s throwback vibes.

Working with Prendes and the rest of the cast was lauded by actor Sean Whalen.

“I leaped at the chance to work with Jose once more when I heard about it. He genuinely wants to produce the finest movie he can.

It is always a pleasure to work with someone who is a true collaborator and enthusiast of acting. I was overjoyed when Billy Butler was added to the mix. He’s awesome,” said Whalen. “I also enjoyed the variety of genres in this entertaining film.

Working with the youthful cast was the finest part, but I was saddened to realize how ugly I am. I kid you not! I’m sweltering hot. But seriously, I adored everyone in this film! I’m attempting to act in as many different kinds of films as I can, and now I can say that I’ve done an asylum film! Couldn’t be more pleased!
