Godzilla vs Kong 2: Filming Underway and Plot Details Revealed!
The detailed plot summary for the highly anticipated sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong, which will investigate the beginnings of Legendary’s MonsterVerse, was recently released by Warner Bros. Pictures. As the untitled sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong promises to delve into the history of the Titans as well as Skull Island, the upcoming film will have Kong and Godzilla working together to combat a new danger emanating from Hollow Earth.
According to the new plot summary, the next film in the MonsterVerse will feature another team-up, this time between Kong and Godzilla, who will have to cooperate in order to defeat an unknown foe. In the movie before this one, Godzilla and Rodan, the two kings of monsters, defeated MechaGodzilla, a man-made beast made of iron and cables.
However, before they decided to work together, Godzilla and Kong engaged in a battle that came dangerously close to ending in a death match. Consequently, despite the fact that the monsters banded together to rescue the day, there is still some bad blood between them; consequently, it is possible that the sequel will result in a rematch.
The new synopsis also makes the promise that the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel would continue to investigate the MonsterVerse mythology, providing answers to some of the questions left unanswered by the original crossover film. In the film Godzilla vs. Kong, it was revealed that humans and Titans once coexisted on Earth and built kingdoms together in the realm of Hollow Earth, which is located underground.
There, Kong unearths the axe that he used to slaughter the Titans, a weapon that, despite its power, is still no match for Godzilla’s. In spite of this, the weapons suggest that the fate of humans has always been connected with the lives of enormous animals, which opens up new avenues of investigation within the MonsterVerse. Warner Bros.
Pictures have revealed that the upcoming sequel will fill in the blanks by explaining the genesis of the Titans and how they are connected to Kong 2 original home, Skull Island. This will be accomplished by detailing how the Titans came into existence. Due to the fact that all of these revelations have the potential to alter humanity all the time, the sequel will have quite high stakes.
Adam Wingard, who previously helmed Godzilla vs. Kong, will return to the director’s chair for the sequel, which will be based on a script written by Terry Rossio (Godzilla vs. Kong), Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight), and Simon Barrett (You’re Next).
In addition, Rebecca Hall (The Night House Resurrection), Brian Tyree Henry (Bullet Train, Atlanta), and Kaylee Hottle will reprise their roles in the yet-untitled film (Godzilla vs. Kong). Dan Stevens (Legion, Beauty and the Beast), Fala Chen (Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Alex Ferns (The Batman, Chornobyl), and Rachel House are among the newcomers to the cast (Thor: Ragnarok, Foundation).
