First Reviews of “Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning, Part 1” Praise the Action and Hayley Atwell!

Tom Cruise is back in theaters with the newest Mission: Impossible movie, and people have been talking about it since its world opening in Rome.

Christopher McQuarrie directed Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One, and he and Erik Jendresen also wrote it together. Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, and Henry Czerny are also in the movie.

Journalists who went to the premiere in Italy are talking about the action movie on social media. Perri Nemiroff of Collider called it “another winner for the franchise.”

“Once again, the production value is THROUGH THE ROOF, with some of the clearest and most exciting set pieces shot in a way that really makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the action. “The focus on taking pictures makes a HUGE difference, and you can feel it,” Nemiroff wrote on Twitter.

Nemiroff also praised Atwell, saying that she “ended up being the MAIN star” for her. He also said, “She can do it all. Action, comedy, and a hero who is skilled in many ways but still trying to find her way in others. One of the most interesting characters and stories, and a lot of fun to watch.”

Mike Ryan from Uproxx tweeted about the latest Mission: Impossible movie, saying that it “works as Christopher McQuarrie’s ambitious examination of/meditation on AI and the dangerous path we might be on. (He doesn’t like it.)”

Kate Erbland of IndieWire said that the movie “does the best job yet of recent “part 1 of 2!! ” movies at feeling like its own movie while setting up the next half.”

Erik Davis of Fandango said, “We had the best time ever watching Mission: Impossible.” He called it a “perfectly made action movie that never stops entertaining.” Each action scene lasts a long time and is crazy and fierce. The story is long and complicated, but I liked how it ended, and still made me want to know what happens next.

Germain Lussier of Gizmodo said that Dead Reckoning Part One was “fantastic” and that the story was “dynamite” and “timely.” “These new figures are great. “Huge variety of action and a final set piece that ranks in the top two or three of the whole series,” Lussier said.

“At times it gets a little too complicated, but the pace and intensity more than makeup for that.” Screenrant’s Joseph Deckelmeier also said that Atwell “steals every scene she’s in” and that “the action had my heart rate up.”
