Family Leave: Netflix Comedy Starring Ed Helms and Jennifer Garner!
According to Deadline, The Office alum Ed Helms has been tapped to star opposite Jennifer Garner in the upcoming body switch comedy film titled Family Leave, based on the book Bedtime for Mommy by New York Times bestselling author Amy Krouse Rosenthal.
Family Leave, which is being written by Adam Sztykiel based on Victoria Strouse’s initial screenplay, will be directed by The Babysitter’s director McG. Producers McG and Garner are also involved. The project will be a part of Garner’s Netflix multi-picture contract.
According to the summary, the movie follows Jess and Bill Walker as they struggle to keep their family together as their kids get older, more autonomous, and farther apart. Can the Walker family come together to secure a promotion, college interview, record deal, and soccer tryout when a fortuitous encounter with an astrological reading forces the family to awaken with a full-body switch on the morning of each person’s most significant day?
Producers include Garner, McG, and Mary Viola for Wonderland, Lawrence Grey and Ben Everard for Grey Matter Productions, and Nicole King Solaka for Linden Entertainment. Executive producers include Jason Brian Rosenthal and David Hyman.
