Die Hard 6: Release Date and All Updates Are Here!

In 2018, the action film Die Hard celebrates its 30th anniversary. Even three decades later, John McClane’s insane night at Nakatomi Plaza is still considered one of the best in the genre—and the film that launched Bruce Willis’ career. As a result, it’s only natural that Die Hard 6 will be released 30 years later.

There was a lot of buzz about a prospective sequel after the previous five films—the most recent being 2013’s A Good Day to Die Hard—but it never seems to get off the ground at any movie studio. That was a long time ago.
In recent interviews, Willis has discussed the project, and director Len Wiseman has stated that filming will begin as soon as the script is complete, telling Slashfilm that the new Die Hard will “happen really soon.”

Release Date of Die Hard 6

There is no set date for the release of this film. Action films take a long time to shoot and even longer to post-produce while still in development.

Certainly, the coronavirus pandemic isn’t aiding progress any time soon.

After the film’s release in 2013, Fox Studios began exploring making a sixth A Good Day To Die Hard for whatever reason. It’s possible that this is due to the film’s poor critical reaction.

As of 2017, there has been speculation of a sixth Die Hard film focusing on both John and his ex-wife Holly. The film’s theatrical distribution was canceled in its entirety in August of that year as a result of Disney’s acquisition of Fox in 2019. Die Hard 6 is expected to premiere on February 17, 2023. They will not be confirmed until the official announcement, which will update you.

Disney is now developing a streaming series based on John McClane, which is set to debut in the summer of 2019 on either Disney+ or Hulu.

Only Bruce Willis‘ return as John McClane was confirmed when Die Hard 6 was revealed. Holly, Bonnie Bedelia’s ex-wife, may appear in the film again, but this is questionable.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who played Lucy, John, and Holly’s children, has expressed interest in reprising the role. Following the termination of Die Hard 6, fans of Willis, Winstead, and other potential cast members may now look forward to their other confirmed projects.

It’s not all bad news for fans hoping for a new Snake Eyes, with Di Bonaventura stating that a sequel or prequel is improbable.

This producer has shared his intentions for the sixth installment if Disney decides to revive the series. The film featured a “young John McClane” and “all aspects of Bruce.” Surprisingly, “it wasn’t Die Hard at first but developed into Die Hard afterward,” according to the producer.

There Will Be No Die Hard 6

Die Hard fans were drawn to a short trailer ahead of Bruce Willis’ return in mid-October 2020. A Die Hard-themed battery commercial served as the lead-in.

The Fox-Disney merger, according to producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, suspended the development on a sixth sequel, titled McClane. According to Di Bonaventura, the concept was “dead in the water.”
