Actress Sydney Sweeney Will Take Center Stage in The Upcoming Psychological Thriller Immaculate!
Sydney Sweeney will play the lead in Black Bear Pictures’ next psychological horror movie Immaculate, the studio revealed on Friday. Michael Mohan, who previously directed Sweeney in the pornographic thriller The Voyeurs for Amazon Studios in 2021, is the film’s director.
Sweeney and Jonathan Davino are slated to produce Andrew Lobel’s screenplay for the upcoming movie Immaculate. In the movie Immaculate, Sweeney will play Cecilia, “a woman of devout religion who is offered a rewarding new post at a prestigious Italian convent.” The film focuses on her journey to the Italian countryside, but the idyllic scenario is abruptly cut short by some sinister and frightening secrets that she starts to learn once she arrives.
The performance in HBO’s Euphoria for which Sweeney was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards is possibly her most well-known one. Another nomination for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie went to Sweeney for her performance in the HBO anthology series The White Lotus.
Dakota Johnson will star in Sony’s new movie, Madame Web, which is situated in the Spider-Man universe and is scheduled for release in 2024. Sweeney is now shooting the movie. She has lately been announced to star in The Registration from Sony Pictures as well as the upcoming Barbarella reboot.
