Early Life
Found Tia Dashon Mowry was born on July 6, 1978, in Gelnhausen, West Germany. Both of Tamera and Tia’s parents were in the U.S. Army when they were born. At some point, the family relocated to California, where the twins and their two younger brothers grew up.
Both Tia and Tamera had what is described as a “born-again” conversion when they were eight years old. Tia spent most of her childhood traveling the country to compete in beauty pageants and showcase her singing and acting skills.

After 14 years of marriage, Tia Mowry and her husband Cory Hardrict have decided to separate.
The Sister, Sister alum, now 44 years old, posted an emotional announcement of the breakup on Instagram on Tuesday.
“In the past, I have always been forthright with my supporters, and today is no different. I’m writing to let you know that Cory Hardrict and I have broken up “a black and white photo of the couple accompanied her words. “It’s never easy or without grief to make these kinds of choices. As we raise our lovely children together, we’ll keep our friendship strong.”
The TV host went on, “I want to thank my friends, family, and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter going ahead in our life, and I am glad for all the great times we had together.”
PEOPLE has learned that on Tuesday, Mowry filed for divorce from her spouse in Los Angeles.
The actress said they couldn’t work things out in the divorce file (first reported by TMZ). She is asking for shared physical and legal custody of their children, a son, Cree, 11, and a daughter, Cairo, 4. No divorce or separation date was given.
Tia Mowry is requesting the termination of spousal support based on the couple’s prenuptial agreement, which they signed before their 2008 wedding.
Tia Mowry had posted two mysterious photos on Instagram about love just days before the news of their breakup broke.
Just before their breakup became public on Tuesday, she tweeted, “Love is me, and I am love. Only love will be what I focus on. Please do the same.”
Mowry tweeted yet again on Sunday about the importance of being heard.
“Be reminded: You already have everything you need. The love of others should be bestowed upon you. The world should accept you for who you really are “When she did, it was with others.
In an interview for People, Mowry and Hardrict discussed their efforts to keep their marriage together. A year from now, in February of 2021.
“A lot of people,” I said, “ask Cory and me like, ‘What makes your marriage, you know, a fantastic marriage?'” Mowry stated. And if I’m being completely forthright with you, we haven’t paid much attention to gender roles for quite some time.
The actress elaborated, saying, “Meaning the ladies should just do one thing, and then the guys should just do one thing.” “We do everything as a family,” she said.
