Dakota Mayi Johnson (born October 4, 1989) is an actress, producer, and model from the United States. Johnson has garnered numerous awards for her work in the Fifty Shades of Grey films, including a People’s Choice Award, an Independent Spirit Award, and a British Academy Film Award nomination. She was named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2013. 
She is the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, both of whom are actresses. Johnson made her film debut with her mother in the dark comedy Crazy in Alabama (1999) when she was ten years old.
