Mike Myers Reveals If He Wants To Make Another Austin Powers Movie!

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Canadian actor and comedian shared his hopes for the continuation of the espionage comedy genre.
The idea of doing another “Austin Powers” movie appeals to star Mike Myers.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon on Friday, Myers, who played the title role in all three films in the comedy franchise, shared his thoughts on the prospect of returning to his signature role.

Myers, who produced and wrote the films that made over $676 million at the box office, was asked by “The Tonight Show” host if he’d ever portrayed the British spy again, and the audience applauded enthusiastically.

No, I don’t have any news to share. Mike Myers remarked, “I cannot confirm or deny the existence of such a project.”

“Sure, why not? That’s something I’d love to do. “It’s a lot of fun,” he chimed in.

Fallon also inquired about Myers’s trip to London’s Buckingham Palace, which included an unexpected connection to “Austin Powers.”

Mike Myers, who was born in England to parents from Liverpool, said he and a friend were inside the palace gates watching the changing of the guard when a military band began playing the theme song to the movie, “Soul Bossa Nova” by Quincy Jones.

Myers responded to Fallon by saying that a guard, who is “not supposed to talk,” stated to him, “I bet you’ve heard this song before!”
