There will be a stage version of Stranger Things and a spin-off series produced by Matt and Ross Duffer’s new production business Upside Down Pictures.

A new production business called Upside Down Pictures has been founded by Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer in response to the show’s unprecedented popularity on Netflix. After the season four debut, users logged more than a billion hours of viewing time on the streaming service.

In addition, they’ve formed a new firm that will handle the production of five new projects. What can fans expect? They’re making a Death Note live-action TV show, a TV version of Stephen King’s The Talisman, a stage play rooted in the Stranger Things universe, and a live-action spin-off series based on the Japanese anime Death Note. In addition, a new show with no title is in the works.

These Are the Stories We’re Looking For

Of course, this is just the beginning for Upside Down Pictures, which, according to a press release, “aims to create the kind of stories that inspired the Duffers growing up. When the ordinary meets the exceptional, when grand spectacle and personal human drama coexist, when emotion triumphs over cynicism, these are the stories we’re looking for.

Producer Hilary Leavitt and the Duffers will oversee the company together, according to a statement from the Duffers “We knew right away after our first meeting with Hilary that we had met a kindred spirit when we bonded over movies like Jaws, Home Alone, and Speed. Just as much as Hilary loves stories, she loves the storytellers who tell them, and is fiercely protective of them.”

A Spin-Off Series from The Duffer Brothers

A spin-off series from the Duffer Brothers that will be very different from the origina programme has been teased earlier by the brothers. As they revealed on the Happy Sad Confused podcast on July 4, “I’ve seen these stories that there’s going to be an Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) spin-off, that there’s going to be a Steve and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) spin-off or that it’s another number.” “The fact that we’ve already done this isn’t intriguing to me. I don’t know how many hours we’ve spent going through all of it.”

It will be based on the Duffers’ idea, but they have claimed they will “transfer the torch” to someone else so that they may focus on other projects, such as Stranger Things’ final season.
