Al Pacino’s “Shrek” phone case has a backstory, and it’s finally been made public.
During an interview on the “Today” show on Wednesday, Al Pacino stated that he received the necklace from his daughter. “That was put on my phone by my smallest daughter.”
In April of last year, the internet went into meltdown mode when fans discovered that Oscar winner 82 had a phone case adorned with photographs of the iconic green ogre on it.
“National Lampoon Vacation”
Ex-girlfriend Jan Tarrant has a daughter named Julie (32), and “National Lampoon Vacation” star Beverly D’Angelo, who had twins Anton and Olivia (21), is the mother of all three.
Jason Momoa posted a photo of Pacino’s case on Instagram, and it quickly went viral. Pacino said that he had no idea what was in it.
‘The Godfather actor says he didn’t look at it until social media revealed what was on his phone. After a quick glance, I realized it was “Shrek.””
NBC News Correspondent Harry Smith
The case, which seems like it would be more appropriate for an eighth-grader than a movie star, was brought up by NBC News Correspondent Harry Smith, and Pacino snorted, “Of course, that was a gift!”
Many of the actor’s devoted followers were delighted to see him sporting a phone case that contrasted sharply with his often melancholy on-screen persona.
As one commenter put it, “You can’t make this stuff up,Al Pacino is basically the perfect man to exist and he enjoys Shrek,”
