American actor, musician, and DJ (going by the stage name Anslo), Ansel Elgort. An actor who got his start in the horror film Carrie and was born to photographer Arthur Elgort and theatre producer Grethe Barrett Holby (2013).
Elgort became more well-known for his roles as a supporting actor in The Divergent Series and the romantic drama The Fault in Our Stars (2014), in which he starred as a young cancer sufferer (2014–2016). He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance as Baby Driver in the 2017 Edgar Wright action film Baby Driver.
Biography
Ansel Elgort, now 27 years old, was born on March 14, 1994, in New York City. His mother, opera director Grethe Barrett Holby, and father, fashion photographer Arthur Elgort, have both contributed substantially to Vogue. Elgort’s dad chose to honor the famous photographer of the natural world by naming him after him (1902-1984). His paternal grandfather was Jewish from Russia, while his maternal grandmother was from Norway, England, and Germany.
Aase-Grethe, Elgort’s Norwegian grandmother participated in the Norwegian resistance during World War II and helped evacuate Jewish children from Norway to neutral Sweden. For her efforts, she was imprisoned in a detention camp. Sam Morril, the famous comedian, is the nephew of his father.
He is the youngest of three children; his older siblings are the fashion photographer Sophie Elgort (born in 1986) and the filmmaker Warren Elgort (born in 1989). His mother took him to audition for the School of American Ballet when he was nine years old. Elgort stayed for an additional five years of schooling.
Elgort received his education at Stagedoor Manor, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, The Professional Performing Arts School, and Trinity School (all in New York City). At the age of 12, Elgort enrolled in an acting class at LaGuardia, where he appeared in a school production of Hairspray alongside classmate Kyle Jean-Baptiste and went on to star in the school’s performances of Guys and Dolls. In 2009, when he was a senior in high school, he was featured in an editorial for Teen Vogue alongside Polish model Jac Jagaciak.

Who is Ansel Elgort Dating?
It has been reported that Ansel Elgort is seeing his high school sweetheart, Violetta Komyshan. Ansel has called the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn home since 2017. Elgort solicited donations for the Thirst Project from loved ones and admirers for his 21st birthday. Elgort went nude in April of 2020 to raise money for victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In June of 2020, a woman accused Elgort of sexually abusing her in 2014, when they were both 17 years old. Elgort posted on Instagram that he and the woman had a “brief, legal, and fully consensual relationship,” thereby refuting the claim.

Relationship Timeline
The pair broke up for a short time in 2014, which was sad for everyone involved. Since Ansel was so busy at the time with filming and press interviews, US Weekly claims that they were attempting to figure out how serious he was about the relationship.
Ansel set the record straight about his romance in an interview in 2015, confirming that he and Violetta were back together. Then, in a most endearing way, he said that he was well, but felt like something was missing. He finally admitted that love was the reason. They were caught on camera making out in public a short time afterward. This proved that they were together once again.
Ansel made a music video in 2017 and Violetta was the main attraction. In the same year, the pair were caught on camera sharing another passionate kiss at the ‘Baby Driver premiere. In High School, Ansel and Violetta began dating.
They both graduated from the prestigious LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts. Their romance began in the school cafeteria. When Violetta first laid eyes on Ansel, she thought he was hot, but she had no idea that they attended the same high school.
Ansel eventually persuaded a friend to introduce them, and the two met up at Starbucks. They started exchanging numbers and ended up becoming fast pals. As the school year came to a close, they began dating.
